Homecoming of the Bluetails

I now have a couple of homecomings to share with you all. For today I'll start off with the reunion of a very sweet family at the homecoming of the VAW 121 Bluetails.
Normally I would be shooting all the planes coming in together. But this daddy showed up a little earlier than the rest. I suppose he really couldn't wait to see these boys. They were all over him and did not want to let go. This was a very special reunion for this little man! He has cerebral palsy and has just learned to walk while Dad's been gone. Quite a special treat!

If you can't tell this is Mr. Superstar! All the planes started landing and he started jammin'! LOVE IT!
Can you even resist that look? This is my fav! What a look!

I had to put this one in with his sweet look that could melt chocolate.

Now, I made mom come out of the hanger for a few shots and I'm glad I did. Always great for a few shots dad can cherish. You look great Laura!

Dad found us and jumped right in for a little kiss. Perfect shot to a perfect day!

Caught ya!

Daddy's Home!

Looking for the planes!

Thank you so much for including me in your day. I hope you truely enjoy these and the rest of the images.
Also, thank you Justin, for your service. It has been a pleasure showing this family off.
Next blog coming soon that includes the Eisenhower homecoming and features a couple of familiar faces to Cocoa Bean Photography, Lindsey and Tyler!

Large Family at the Beach

I completely enjoy taking family portraits down at the beach. It is so relaxing and always makes for a beautiful portrait for any wall. I truely believe it. I must, considering my family portraits from the beach are on my walls.
I recently got the opportunity to capture this families portraits while they were vacationing here in Virginia Beach at Sandbridge. They were a joy to work with. Krista, I give you a lot of kudos for planning such a relaxing time with your family! Watch out, I may pack my bags and stay with you next time!

Although I normally show a preview, I have shown Krista and her family thier portraits and even have sent them off to her. In fact this blog has been sitting in my "waiting to publish file for almost a month now, so I now today it's a session review. I know, pretty bad on timing but I did take a very extensive and not quite so calm and quiet of a vacation back west.

To Krista and Family: Thank you!

Secrets%20in%20StereoQuantcast

A New Favorite Artist and their "sweet new little widget"

You may have seen me post something about Josh Ryan from Secrets In Stereo before but I just wanted to make this a full on love post!

Just so you understand, I used "Happy" in my slideshow/video of some of the images I have captured for the Charitable program I belong to: Operation Love Reunited. I had so many people asking about the music. Soon, I got past how beautiful the song was and I looked up the artist on facebook and Youtube. Josh is an up and coming artist from Nashville who has captured the heart of many a "Twilight" fan as well as those who have heard him on "Young and the Restless." He also mentions on his blog he is working on something for a Hertz commercial. Now that of course is not all that's on his blog http://www.secretsinstereo.com/blog/ In the great "Pay it forward" style: when I logged on last I noticed if you sign up for his Blog newsletter you are automatically given a code for a free download of his debut album!! I'm sure that won't last for long but... Wow, a great find for me to listen to, yes, over and over again, but also recieve that music for free. Now obviously he is doing his job to get the word out and I can't help but say it's an easy job to be one of his new fans. I will continue to be a fan far past the free debut!

Go there! Sign up! And become a new fan for yourself!
Pay it forward and pass his music and name along!

My cuddos go out to Josh and "Secrets In Stereo!"
Best of Luck to you!

Beauty on the Beach at Sandbridge!

Senior Session with Danieall! I gave out a sneek to the sneek preview last week on my flickr and facebook pages. Here is the rest of that not so pre pre-view!
We decided Sandbridge Beach at little Island Park would be a great place for these beautiful Senior Portraits.

Danieall was a great model as we tried some shots a little more on the creative and fun side. Senior's should be offered something a bit more original!
Trendy and relaxed to bring out who they really are! Danieall brought grace and style with it!

I loved how this image turned out. Looks so good in Black and White!

We also had a great time getting a little more playful in the water. Of course not knowing what kind of surprises headed her way in the waves. Just as she was leaning back one caught her. But overall that one shot is my favorite. Full of enthusiasm and her natural self.

Congratulations Danieall on your Graduation!

Wendy and Sam

Wendy, congratulations on having you man back home!

This was my first homecoming on the airstrip and wow, a photographer's delight! I have already shown Wendy and Sam thier images but I had to share! I think you'll enjoy it too!

Sam Is a wonderful Navy pilot as you can clearly see. I had a great time watching the planes coming in, and it couldn't have been a more beautiful, sunny day!

You just can pass the opportunity to photograph this awe striking sight.

And wow, just as striking! These lovely ladies really know how to turn it up when thier husbands come in. What husband wouldn't be happy to see them? I love it!

They weren't the only ones excited to see those pilots come in though. I snapped up several shots of the kids nervously waiting for thier Daddies!

I love this shot! As you can tell, the wives were just as nervous or at least holding back overwhelming excitement!

And when these guys make an entrance- They make an entrance!

But nothing in the world beats that first moment back together!

Congrates to you Wendy and Sam and the rest of the group.
